He was home from school which was good, it was close to spring break and all the students got to come home early since they wanted to clean up the school. Troy was outside in his treehouse to get away from everyone since he was a little down these days. He hadn't heard from Gabriella and that worried him, had she found another guy at her college? He sighed to himself trying not to think about that stuff but he just couldn't help it. His blue orbs scanned around and he noticed his father was heading off somewhere, where he didn't know and right now he didn't care either. Troy then went deeper into his treehouse and sat down and let his head lowered and he looked at his hands before letting them run down his face and he sighed heavily to himself as he got up and looked out the small window of the house and to the sky, it was a nice day a day to be by the beach of something like that but since he had no idea if Chad was home of anyone else he guessed he would be on his own today which was going to suck horribly. |

It was the end of school. Gabriella was walking down the halls of school. It was so lonely these days without Troy. She began humming the tune to Breaking Free. She went to her locker and opened it. It was decorated with pictures of East High, her friends and.. Troy. Her fingers traced over the picture. Then she closed it, and walked out of the school. She'd wondered if he had found another girl in college. It was a sunny day, with leaves falling from the trees. She smiled and flipped open her phone. She dialed Troy's number. "Hello?" she asked softly. [/size]

He just walked around his treehouse about a thousand times trying to get all these thoughts out of his head but of course it didn't work. Troy sighed and took out his phone and flipped it open and looked at the picture of Gabriella he had as his background and he sighed once more, thinking that the picture was better then nothing since at the moment he didn't have the real thing. He knew that his parents were worried with how mopey he was acting but he really couldn't help it. Sharpay had been trying to call him, not really knowing why she had his number but he guessed it might have been for the best. But then his phone went off and he looked as he opened up his phone and saw that Gabriella and he smiled thinking that he was glad that she had called him.
"Hey, Gabriella how are you?"
He was glad that he was able to hear her voice, it seemed like he went for years without hearing her. it had been a few months since they had seen each other besides at their graduation and before they both headed off to college, at least California wasn't too far away from New Mexico. Troy smiled as he stayed on the phone with her, he then wondered if she was going to be getting out of school and coming back to see her, he hoped so because he wanted to see her. It was almost spring break and alot of college students would be out and around but he wondered if he should get his job back at Lava springs, with Sharpay he guessed it would be easy. But right now he just wanted to relax and have a nice time talking to his special someone even though at the moment he couldn't see her. |

Gabriella smiled when she heard Troy's voice. She hadn't heard for about a month, or year. I'm great, what about you?" she asked him breathlessly. "I miss you a lot". She wanted to ask him if he'd meet another girl. She'd wanted to ask him if he still loved her. But all those questions seemed weird, when they were only talking on the phone. "What are you doing for the spring break?" she asked him. She was going to ask her mom, if she could visit him in Alburqurque for the break. Her mom would say yes, but Gabriella wanted to know if Troy wanted her there.

His smile got bigger since he still had her on the phone and he was wondering if he should ask her if she's starting to see another guy. But he guessed that would be a horrible idea so he decided not to ask because he didn't need to make her angry because he just wanted to talk to her. Troy sat down on the edge of the deck on his treehouse and he thumped his legs up against it a couple times like a little kid and he held his phone tightly and swallowed roughly before he started to talk again.
"I'm fine, I'd feel better if you were here though..."
He tried not to sound upset but he wasn't sure if that worked but he tried the best her could. He heard her say that she missed him and that seemed to calm him with the whole seeing someone else thing. Hearing that must have met maybe she wasn't seeing anyone else so that was calming to him but he couldn't be fully sure at the moment. Troy sighed lightly to himself soft enough so Gabriella couldn't hear him because he didn't want her to go asking him what was wrong because he didn't want to upset her.
"I miss you too"
He sure spoke then truth with that one, just ask his parents because half the time every other thing he brought up was about her. But now would be as good a time as any to see what she was going to be up to for spring break, hopefully nothing so she could get over here and see him for the time being. But if she had plan or couldn't then he would understand even though he really wanted to see her but if she couldn't there would be nothing he would be able to do about it.
"Nothing, I haven't planned anything but do you think maybe you could come back and see everyone?"
He was sure not only would he want to see her but he was sure Taylor, Chad, Kelsy, and Ryan would want to see her, Sharpay not so much. Troy hoped she would say yes but if not well he would suffer through the bad news later because he had a strong feeling bad news was what he was going to get. He bit his lower lip waiting for her answer and his mind was racing with what answer he was going to get but he guessed only time would tell on that one. |

Gabriella heard Troy say, he'd be better with her. She smiled. "I'd be better with you too". She started walking towards a picnic bench and sat down on it. She looked at Troy's picture in her phone. She heard him say he wanted her to spend the spring break with their friends. "Sure" she replied happily. "I'll come back for the break. I'll call you when I ask my mom", Gabriella's voice rang, because she was really happy. She'd finally see Troy again. Troy, Chad, Taylor, Ryan, Kelsi.... Sharpay. Sharpay wasn't going to like seeing her again. Whatever. Then she heard her mom honk the car horn. "Oh I'd better go. I'll call you back later. Love you wildcat" she said to Troy as she hung up. Then she started to rethink the words she said. |

He felt his face become a dim shade of red hearing what she said but he liked it, alot and just couldn't help himself. But his face lit up as he heard that she could like to come back down which he was really happy for, Troy hoped that her mother would let her because he really wanted to see her again. But if she didn't he would understand but deep down he wouldn't take it very well and hearing list off a few people and hearing Sharpay he laughed softly because he was sure that she wasn't going to be happy to see Gabriella again but oh well, everyone was probably going to be happy to see her again.
"Don't worry, I'll break the news to Sharpay gently"
He laughed more after saying that but he guessed everyone else would be happy to see her, especially Taylor and Kelsi. He was thinking about calling Chad when he got off the phone and tell him that Gabriella might be coming back to see everyone but since he didn't know if she was actually coming back to visit he decided to wait on that. But hearing that she had to go it saddened him but at least he got to talk to her for a little while but then he heard 'love you' and his turned a brighter red. Love, did she love him? He really had no idea but he knew one thing he would love to find out but maybe he would wait to see if she would ever say it again. |

Gabriella walked over to the car slowly. She got in and closed the door. "Mom," Gabriella began slowly. "Can I go back to Alberqurque, this break, and spend some time with my friends?" She held her breath as she waited for an answer from her mom. "Sure Gabriella" her mom said. "Thank-you! she said as she got out her phone. She called Troy's number. "Good news, my mom said yes" she said when she heard someone answer from the other line.

He decided to get down from his tree house so he slowly started to climb down then his phone off from a text message. Troy took it out and it was Chad asking if he wanted to go play basketball, he texted back to say sure since it would give him something to do and get his mind off Gabriella for a little while. He was all the way down and sighed lightly as he made his way up to his bedroom to change into basketball playing clothes when his phone went off once more but this time someone was calling him. Troy opened up it up and he smiled since it was Gabriella again and he was a little nervous since she was probably calling to give him the answer of what his mother said and he hoped it wasn't anything bad but when he heard what she said his face brightened.
"That's awesome! tell me when you'll be down and I'll come pick you up and we'll go from there."
He was excited but he tried to contain it even though he didn't think it very well. He had alot of excitement in his voice and she was probably going to laugh at him. But he could always get her to laugh which was good because he could always seem to cheer her up which was good. Since he couldn't stand to see her upset like she couldn't stand to see him upset but since she was going to come back here he wouldn't gloomy anymore. He went through his clothes to find some to change into as he was the phone with Gabriella so it was a bit difficult but he did it and he put them down on his bed and he sat down and put the phone back into his hand so he could hold it better. |

Gabriella smiled. She was happy he wanted her to be there, with him and all of their other friends. "Cool! I'll phone you then" she said to him. She couldn't wait for the weekend. The whole break with Taylor, Chad, Kelsi, Sharpay and Troy. Just saying his name made her heart feel like melting. She sighed into the phone, kind of forgetting it was still there. So, are you excited for the weekend?" she asked him slowly. She couldn't wait to see him. Had he grown taller? Had he dyed his hair? Had he found another girl? She shook her head. No, she couldn't think of that right now. She was going back to the place she started at, and she should be happy. Back to the place where they all began... [/center][/color] |

He just about melted since he knew that Gabriella was coming and he couldn't wait, spring break started this weekend which was even better. He was tempted to call Chad after he got off the phone with her but maybe until he called him again. Troy sighed happily to himself since he couldn't wait, he heard her question and he smiled warmly to himself and nodded to himself as well personally he thought that was a stupid question, of course he was but that made him wonder, was she excited or maybe she wasn't. The thought of her finding a new guy came back to him and made his heart gain a little bit of speed since he wanted to know these things but didn't dare ask.
"Of course I am, I really want to see you"
He spoke the truth, they haven't seen each other for quite a while, it's almost been a year. In fact another idea came back to him that maybe him, Gabriella, Chad, and everyone else can take a trip back to east high and see everyone else again maybe see all the new freshman and how everyone else is doing without them, like the basketball team. It probably isn't the same without him, Chad, Jason, and Zeke but he really didn't know unless they actually go back. Then there was Ms. Darbus...what would she say if they were to show up? He shivered slightly just thinking about it but who knows. |

Gabriella smiled. "I can't wait to see what East High looks like" she said. Had it changed since they had gone there? She twirled a lock of her tail, carelessly. She saw her mom was still hearing the conversation. Whatever. It wasn't like they were talking about anything too serious. Actually, it was quite awkward talking to Troy over the phone. It seemed... different. But she didn't tell him that. It was quite unnecessary. She sighed. "So what are you doing right now?" she asked him. She was really happy she was going to see Troy again, but something inside her felt wrong. As if she didn't want to. It seemed, she wanted to see what East High looked like, more than seeing Troy again. But she ignored the feeling and tightened her grip on her phone. |

He looked through his clothes still to find a outfit to go play basketball in but still he didn't find very much since most of his good ones were in the laundry. Troy found his number fourteen T-shirt and took that out along with a pair of black shorts then he grabbed his sneakers as well to put those on when he was done. He smiled, he had no idea what east high looked like now because he hasn't been around too much because he was now in college, no longer in high school although sometimes he wishes he could go back.
"Yea, I haven't seen it in a while myself so I would like to see it again too."
He decided to change his clothes, he gently put the phone down on his bed and then changed into his looser clothes to he could go hang with Chad when he got done with Gabriella. Troy finished changing and then picked up his phone once more and put it to his ear and listened to her speak once more, he smiled lightly and he could think of a few different answers but might as well be straight forward. He put his phone down quickly once more and put his sneakers on and tied them and grabbed his phone once more and opened his mouth to speak again.
"I'm getting ready to go play basket ball with Chad in a little while"
He stretched his legs slightly to get the slight kinks out of them and he then grabbed his Red hawk jacket which he kept. He had a feeling Chad was going to be wearing his so he guessed he would wear the one that he had gotten when he hung out with them at Lava springs that summer. Troy then gripped his phone a bit tighter and sighed silently as he looked over at the clock and guessed he should probably get going soon because he had a feeling if he didn't Chad would be calling or texting wondering where he was. |

Gabriella smiled. If he hadn't seen East High, than that was great."Then we'll go see it together" she said to him. She got out her backpack and took out her agenda. Their school had given them out in the beginning of the year, and told them all it could help them keep track of everything. The car stopped.
They were at their house. Gabriella quickly got out of the car. She went inside and walked into her room. She set down her bag and put her agenda near her laptop. She sat down on the bed. Troy then said, he was going to play basketball with Chad. She sighed. "Oh, okay. I'll call you later. Don't want to keep Chad waiting" she said. It seemed she always had such a short time with Troy, and it was always interrupted. By Sharpay, by Chad, by Taylor, and everyone else. At least, she was going to spend the whole break with him. "Bye" she said softly. She pressed the phone to her ear waiting for him to say something, as she sat down on the chair, opened her laptop and started typing her English essay.

He sat on the edge of the bed gathering up his water bottle which he was going to fill up because since he was going to get thirsty since he was going to be running around. Troy then smiled and nodded to himself, everyone would go back to see east high again once Gabriella came back over for spring break. Then he noticed she seemed to get a little upset when he told her he was going to play basketball with Chad, but he wanted to have some fun with his best friend and he thought if she didn't like it that was kind of too bad, he hoped she wasn't the jealous type because girls like that wasn't fun.
"Alright, I'll talk to you later bye"
He hung up his phone and put it in his shorts pocket and grabbed his sweatshirt and went down into the kitchen to fill up his water bottle. Troy put ice in it from his refrigerator and then filled it up with water from it as well to make it colder. Once that was done he went out the door to meet up with Chad, since he brought his phone with Gabriella wanted to text him then she could go ahead because he was going to leave him phone on but he put it on vibrate so it wouldn't disturb them. Once he got there he saw Chad, Jason, and Zeke and he put his stuff down and got ready to play the game he loved.
